Turtle Tales is a family run daycare serving children ages 1.5 through 11 in Saint Paul Minnesota. Email us with your information and we will let you know our current availabilities. We also have before and after school openings for children 5 and older. For more information you contact us at turtletales@skallys.com. or call 651-690-0341.
Projected openings for 2009: 1 toddler/preschool spot ( ages 15 months to 4 years old) that we will be filling between May and September 2009.
Updated October 2008: We had a total of five spots and we are down to one spot. This spot is a three day spot for Monday/Wednesday/Thursday (we could possibly be flexible).
We do have someone that is adopting that may or may not need their spot next June so they would wait until 2010. If this is the case we will have a full time spot available for next year as well. We will know more next March for this spot.
Update about 2010: We will have 3 more spots opening up between May and September 2010 (Boy that seems far away).
We have a lot of information available on our website for new and continuing parents including: our policies and contract, photos, and a biography of our staff members. We hope you enjoy this website. If you have any comments or questions send us an email - turtletales@skallys.com.
Thanks,
Rebecca and John
Program Philosophy
Our basic philosophy is the recognition of each child as a unique individual with varying interests, needs, and abilities. Therefore education is approached in an individualized manner, allowing children to progress at their own pace. It is our belief that the process of learning is more important than the content of learning. Because of the focus on process learning, activities are designed to emphasize the experiences children are having rather than what results from activities. It is less important that a child can copy a "project" than what a child creates, experiments, and discovers! While assisting children in learning, we are always conscious of our primary objective: to establish a warm, nurturing relationship with each child.
The children at Turtle Tales range in age from one and a half to eleven years old. The younger child learns much from the older ones, while the older child gains a sence of responsibility by helping and including the younger children in his/her play. As the children become older at Turtle Tales, they will have a different learning experience then she/he did when she/he first started. Each play situation becomes more intricate and involved for the older child.
